2007 has arrived and it's not much different than any other day. For the first month or so I'll make a conscious effort to write the year correctly, but inevitably I will get it wrong sometime in February or March. Every year this happens. Is that a reflection of my life?
Perhaps it is as the beginning of a new year always fills me with hope that this will be a better year than last. By the end of January something will have happened to dim my optimism, but I'll usually shrug it off as an aberration. Come February there'll be another and another and another. That's usually when I'll start writing dates from previous years.
We'll just have to see if this year is different. I'd like to think it can be.
